Peer Specialist Certification is state-specific in the United States, and each state sets its own requirements, application processes, training standards, and continuing education rules. There is no single national peer certification that automatically transfers across states. If you live outside of Texas, you must follow the certification process established by your state’s designated authority, which may differ in eligibility requirements, training hours, background check policies, and renewal timelines.
