Need-based scholarships are available for individuals pursuing peer support careers. We offer full or partial scholarships for certification training (CORE, MHPS, RSPS, PSS), supervision for required hours, and continuing education (CEU) programs to help you turn your lived experience into professional peer support.
Scholarships support both new peers entering the field and certified peers maintaining certification. Limited spots available – apply today based on your training needs.

Becoming a certified peer support specialist
3-day intensive training covering fundamental peer support skills, recovery-oriented principles, ethics, and boundaries. Required before MHPS or RSPS supplemental training.
5-day advanced training for mental health-specific peer support, including crisis intervention, trauma-informed approaches, and specialized support skills. Requires CORE completion.
5-day advanced training focused on substance use recovery support, harm reduction strategies, and community resource connection. Requires CORE completion.

Group Supervision – $400
Weekly virtual group sessions until completion
1-on-1 Supervision – $75/week
Weekly individual sessions with personalized support
PACE 1 Program – $1,800

16-hour certification to provide supervision for peer specialists. Learn to champion recovery-oriented practices, ensure role clarity, and support peer professional growth.
6-month comprehensive program providing everything needed for recertification:
21 CEU hours total (meets recertification requirements)
Inform Modules: 16 general + 1 ethics = 17 hours
Peer Cafe (2 classes): 2 general + 2 ethics = 4 hours
Monthly supervision: One session per month
On-demand access: Thinkific platform modules

Monthly: $200/month for 12 months

Our team reviews your application based on financial need, training availability, and program capacity. We’ll contact you within 5-7 business days with a decision.
If selected for scholarship consideration, you’ll participate in a 30-minute online interview with the scholarship committee. This conversation helps us understand your goals, commitment, and financial need.
Following the interview, you’ll be notified of your scholarship status. Awards may be full or partial coverage based on available funding and financial need. You’ll receive a voucher code to register for training.
Attend your scheduled training with full participation. Complete all requirements to receive your certification and begin your peer support career.

The Peer Academy Scholarship offers flexible funding as either full or partial scholarships. Full scholarships cover the entire cost of training, while partial scholarships cover a portion of the cost. The amount awarded is determined based on the specific financial needs of the recipient, available funding, and at the discretion of the scholarship committee.
Peer Academy Scholarship operates on a first-come, first-served basis. While there is no set deadline, applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their materials as early as possible to increase their chances of consideration.
The selection process for the Peer Academy Scholarship includes evaluating academic potential, demonstrated capabilities, community engagement, commitment level, caliber of the submitted essay, and a 30-minute online interview.
