RSPS Training

The RSPS Supplemental Training is a comprehensive Texas Certification Board certified training curriculum. Students who complete the course and pass the knowledge assessment can apply for their state certification.

Completed CORE training

Letter of Recommendation
From someone who can act as a reference on your behalf




Early application is highly recommended.

To be a successful peer specialist you must have lived experience and be willing to appropriately share about your recovery journey.

Self-assessment is required to enroll in CORE training and to determine if you are eligible to become a RSPS. You can find the link to the required self-assessment and orientation here.

Unfortunately, you are not eligible to register for the RSPS training class. In order to be eligible you must
1. have personal lived experience with substance challenges
2. be willing to share your own personal lived experience
3. you must have taken or plan to take the prerequisite CORE training
4. Complete Peer Orientation and Self-assessment. You can find the link to the required self-assessment and orientation here.
