Peer Academy programs for New Peers

Aspiring peer specialists must first complete orientation and core training in fundamental competencies, then finish specialized mental health or recovery support coursework. After applying for a provisional certificate, they need to accumulate 1000 hours of supervised work experience that allows them to demonstrate these competencies in action. Once these requirements are fulfilled, they can submit their credentials and evidence for full state certification.
