Part 1: Core Training

CORE training is a requirement for anyone seeking to become a certified mental health or recovery support peer specialist. This course is 6 hours long and costs $65.

To enroll in this training you must have personal lived mental health experience and be willing to appropriately share the challenges you have faced with recovery.

Financing

If the tuition is an issue, then we invite you to look for financial aid. Here are a few common resources to finance your training: If you are a US veteran, the Veterans Administration is often able to help with funding. If you work with Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) or receive services from Texas Workforce Solutions (TWS), they might be assist as well. If neither of those applies to you, you might be eligible for a scholarship from the Connection Center. Please understand that scholarships from the Connection Center are NOT guaranteed and are limited.
